Paint is 10% of a good paint job
Every bad repaint we've repainted failed at the prep: cracks taped over, stains sealed with nothing, plaster skimmed while it was still damp. Brisbane humidity punishes all of it: mould spots through bathrooms, bubbling along window reveals, tape shadows in afternoon light.
Sam does our plaster and paint, and his rule is the surface gets right before any colour goes on. Crack chasing, proper filler, stain-blocking primer, then two coats of the right paint for the room, low-sheen for living areas, mould-resistant for wet zones, washable flat on ceilings.

How a paint job job runs
Short jobs, but we still run them properly, five steps, in order.
Look & quote
We check walls for moisture, cracks and old repairs, sometimes a 15-minute visit is enough to quote.
Prep day
Furniture wrapped, floors masked, cracks chased out and filled, stains sealed. The unglamorous day that decides everything.
Plaster & sand
Skim coats where they're needed, sanded flush, dust extracted. Your walls should be boring to look at before we paint them.
Two coats, done right
Primer where needed, two finish coats, cut lines done by hand. Low-VOC paint so you can sleep in the place the same night.
Unmask & touch-up
Masking off, furniture back, a walk around with the touch-up tin, and we leave a labelled litre for future dings.

For water-damage repairs Sam works alongside whoever fixed the leak, so the plaster goes back over a dry substrate, not a problem still brewing behind it.
