Privacy policy: how Casinny Repairs handles your details
What we collect when you contact us or book a renovation, where it lives, and how to get a copy or have it deleted.
Last updated January 2026 · Casinny Repairs Pty Ltd, Albion QLD
Short version
We collect the details you give us to quote and run your job, name, phone, email, address, photos of your place. We don't sell them, don't share them with advertisers, and don't keep them longer than the warranty says we have to. That's the whole idea; the long version is below.

Who to ask
Lena Kowalski handles all data and document requests, casinnyrepairs@gmail.com
What we collect
Only what we need to run a renovation business:
- Contact details: name, phone, email, your suburb and site address.
- Job details: what you told us about the work, photos you send, access instructions.
- Documents: quotes, invoices, body corporate applications, warranty certificates, site photos we take while working.
- Basic site analytics: anonymised page views through standard website statistics. No ad trackers, no cross-site pixels.
Why we need it
Every piece of data has a job: your address is where the work happens, your phone number is how we call you back, site photos document what's behind walls before we close them, and body corporate applications need owner details because that's literally what the form asks for.
If you don't want to give us something, ask what it's for, usually there's a plain answer.
Where it's stored
Quotes and job files live in our project management system hosted in Australia. Email is Google Workspace. Site photos are stored per-job and backed up to an Australian data centre. We don't keep payment card details: bank transfer and card payments go through our payment provider, and we never see the full card number.
Who sees it
Inside the company: Dan and Lena, plus whichever crew member needs your access instructions on the day. Outside: our accountant (invoices), the plumber who roughs in bigger jobs (site address only), and your body corporate when approval paperwork requires owner details. That's the full list: no marketing lists, no data brokers.
How long we keep it
Quotes and job records: seven years, because Queensland tax law says so. Warranty documents: for the life of the warranty plus a year. Photos of finished work: kept unless you ask us to delete them, they're how we show future clients our work. If you ask us to remove photos of your place from our records, we do it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to the seven-year tax record rule). Email casinnyrepairs@gmail.com with 'privacy request' in the subject and Lena will action it within 30 days. Full GDPR-standard rights apply even though we're an Australian business, details on the legal page.
Complaints: if you think we've mishandled your data, tell us first so we can fix it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
GDPR & your information
Although we operate in Australia, we apply GDPR-standard data rights to every client, request a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. Email us and we action it within 30 days.
- Access: a copy of every piece of data we hold about you
- Correction: fix anything we've got wrong
- Deletion: wipe your details once the job and warranty period end
- Portability: your data in a readable format if you want it elsewhere
